The Electric Theatre Café Bar remains the perfect place in Guildford to enjoy a morning coffee, lunch, evening meal or enjoy an interval drink from the Theatre Café on the Riverside Terrace.
Inside is bright and airy, whilst outdoors there is a large South-facing terrace at the edge of the River Wey, which becomes the most popular place in town during the summer months. Heated canopies and subtle lighting ensure that you can enjoy your meal or drinks outside once the sun has set.
There is a fresh and exciting world influenced Café Bar Menu. The bar list includes organic drinks, bottled local ales and draught Leffe Blonde. The Electric Theatre Café Bar and Riverside Terrace are available for private hire.
THE THEATRE
Built in 1997, the Electric Theatre is owned and managed by Guildford Borough Council. It predominantly presents amateur productions in addition to comedy, professional dance and music events. Attendances are in the region of 150,000 people per year.
There is main stage, which seats up to 220 people but which can also accommodate up to 400 for a standing event and be set up in an informal cabaret style. The Electric Theatre also has a private meeting room – the Farley Room – that can seat up to 50 people.
