RIVERSIDE STUDIOS

The Riverside Studios is an internationally renowned performance and media centre on the banks of the Thames, voted as 1 of the top 100 places to visit in London. The Riverside Studios has 2 public performance spaces and a 200-seat cinema.

It has been home to some of the memorable terrestrial television moments in the last century including Hancock’s Half Hour, The Old Grey Whistle Test, Dr Who and Blue Peter. Today it stages some of the most exciting home grown and international theatre productions. The black box space in Studio 2 attracts experimental and cutting edge art forms from around the world including Theatre de Complicite and The Wooster Group. The flexibility of the building and spaces allows major events to be staged such as a world live link interactive concert by David Bowie, a Paul Weller album launch, the World Chess and Poker Championships, The Brit Awards Launch 2006 and the BMW Z4 Launch.

The Riverside Studios also houses a fully equipped television production space in Studio1 which has been home to Top of the Pops, CD:UK, TFI Friday, You’re Fired and Full on Food. There is also an Art Gallery in the Bar, which houses regular installations.

FOOD & DRINK @ THE RIVERSIDE STUDIOS
The loft style Bar Restaurant has seating for 90. There is a relaxing lounge area and also standing capacity for up to 450. It was voted by theatre.net as 'The Best Café and Theatre Bar in London'
The Café and Terrace opens at 10.30 during the week and 12.30 on weekends. An international light bowl, fresh fish, pasta and farm assured meat specials menu operates from 12.00–15.00 and 16.00–21.00 hrs. The Café also serves organic drinks, locally produced wheat free cakes and is a local focal point for the residents and workers in the area. The Terrace has one of the best river views in London and seats 70 and can also accommodate up to 150 for standing receptions. Restaurant and Terrace bookings are advisable on 020 8237 1009. The Terrace access may be subject to availability when filming is in progress.

The Riverside Studios also houses an Espresso Bar which is open Monday to Friday from 9.00–15.00hrs, serving an espresso coffee range, breakfast items, fresh sandwiches, cakes and soft drinks. A full take away menu is also available. The area seats 15, is non smoking and available for private evening and weekend receptions.
